Patrick Bamford is back from suspension, but Leeds will once again be without the injured Barry Douglas and Ezgjan Alioski. Meanwhile, Pontus Jansson remains a doubt.

Derby’s Craig Forsyth, Curtis Davies and Andy King are expected to miss out again. Also, Martyn Waghorn, Ashley Cole and Craig Bryson remain doubtful.

Suspended: None

Doubtful: Pontus Jansson (ankle)

Injured/unavailable: Ezgjan Alioski (meniscus), Barry Douglas (medial collateral ligament)

Injured/unavailable: Craig Forsyth (cruciate ligament), Curtis Davies (Achilles tendon), Andy King (ankle)

A Kemar Roofe goal was enough to give Leeds a narrow 1-0 win on a controversial night at Pride Park in the first leg at the weekend. Derby were awarded a late penalty, which was overruled by the linesman. Overall, Marcelo Bielsa’s United just about deserved their victory in the Midlands.

Leeds went into that game in poor form, losing three and drawing one of their last four regular season matches. The Whites will have been disappointed to have missed out on automatic promotion, but their first leg victory is just what the doctor ordered for the Elland Road faithful. Leeds have been strong at home this term, winning 14, drawing four and losing five of their 23 league matches on their own patch.

Before losing to Leeds at Pride Park at the weekend, Derby ended their regular league campaign by winning four and drawing two of six. The defeat to Leeds was only their second home loss in league and playoff action since late February. Meanwhile, Frank Lampard’s Rams have won just once away from home since beating eventual champions Norwich 4-3 at Carrow Road back in December, drawing five and losing four along the way.

Leeds just about edged a tight first leg at Pride Park, and I fancy them to complete the job at Elland Road in midweek. Back the home side to prevail.

Leeds have had one or two problems at home of late, losing two of their last five home league fixtures (two wins, one draw), but only Sheffield Utd and Norwich (both 49) accumulated more home points than United (46) this term. Leeds beat Derby 2-0 at Elland back in January, and I fancy a repeat scoreline in this one.

Leeds are unbeaten in four league and playoff meetings against Derby, winning the last three and drawing one. In the regular season, United beat the Rams home and away, scoring six and conceding just one.
